Super Important Short Story Update!
I will be publishing “The Least I Can Do” (Honorable Mention recipient in the 2012 “Texas Observer” Short Story Contest), “Going to Grandma’s House,” and possibly some additional stories in a compilation sometime soon. More info on that project as it becomes available.

I stumbled on your blog semi-randomly, and I soon found this short story. Even with the summary as warning, the story evolved into something I wasn’t expecting. It was as if I were walking down a quiet sidewalk under shady trees and then finding myself falling down a sinkhole. The story left me with questions for which I wanted urgent answers. Knowing that no answers will be coming is slightly frustrating, but I’m sure that’s also why the story will be one that I remember.
